Independent Custody Visitor scheme nationally recognised

National recognition for PCC John Campion’s Independent Custody Visitors scheme

The PCC's Independent Custody Visitors (ICV) scheme has retained its Silver Accreditation from the Independent Custody Visiting Association.

Between April 2025 and March 2026, volunteer ICVs carried out 160 unannounced custody visits and engaged with 251 detainees, helping ensure people in custody are treated fairly, safely and with dignity.
